An illustrated Thanksgiving essay
December2
I had a lovely Thanksgiving. I won’t elaborate too much here, as the essay below does a fine job of explaining what went on and why it was good. I sat down that night with an urge to make some wee pictures illustrating my day and ended up with a very contented illustrated essay.

Weee…I love your drawings and musings. You have such a fun way of depicting an day full of thanks. I love to see this side of you, Breanne. Keep the brags coming and the arty-arting flowing. I love this!
As always, you make me very proud. You have become and unbelievably incredible woman, which as you know I still have trouble saying (woman that is). I am happy for you Breanne. I am happy that you are content with yourself as a person. Not all people achieve that in a lifetime, and you have achieved that at 26. I wish I were nearer so that I could share your life, I seem to be missing so much, but would things have been different if I would have stayed in St. Louis. I think not, I believe you would have still wanted to experience other places in the world, not waiting like I did to be near 50 before leaving “the neighborhood.” Your life will get quicker, not that you will notice so much each day, but at the end of each year as I do. It goes from January to December in what seems to be a flash. I don’t think it’s slower for young people, it’s that youngsters go about their day with whatever happens, in a non-responsible way that youth should be. The older you get the busier you get, and the more responsibilities, comes faster days, trying to get it all done in the same time everyone else has.
I enjoyed your Thanksgiving essay, and through your writings, get to enjoy your life. Thank you for sharing with us. I love you…Mom xoxoxox
Jenna, thanks – that means a lot coming from you. Looking forward to arting with you soon.
Oh, Mom, I love you. I’m going to call you Sunday.
Wowzer. Very nice my young friend. I believe everything you believe and want will come through. I’ve always seen it and YOU make it happen. I’m happy to cheer you on from the sidelines. You rock, my dear!
